Biography

“Seeing a young patient smile and overcoming dental anxiety is very rewarding. My goal is to create a pleasant dental visit for each of my patients to set the stage for a life-long of good oral health.”

Following her passion for treating children, Dr. Azin Tarifard moved from California to  Boston in 2011 to pursue her career in pediatric dentistry, and since then she is focusing on providing care to patients from infancy to young adulthood as well as to medically compromised patients. 

Dr. Tarifard graduated Magna cum laude with Bachelor of Science in Biology, and she further continued and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree and certificate of Advanced Education in General Dentistry in 2006 and 2007 respectively from University of the Pacific school of Dentistry in San Francisco. After four years of working as a general dentist, she entered a three-year pediatric dentistry program at Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston, through which she also earned her Master of Science in Dentistry . 

Dr. Tarifard is a Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Massachusetts Association of Pediatric Dentistry, Massachusetts Dental Society, and American Dental Association. 

Dr. Tarifard values preventive dentistry as well as educating her patients and their parents on oral health. She looks forward to providing a positive experience and quality dental care to her patients.
